Lydney Pallets and Cases Ltd has been established for over 30 years, manufacturing and supplying wooden pallets and cases to local and national businesses from small batches to bulk volume, meeting the bespoke needs of our customers.
The company was founded by Norman Nelmes, a local Gloucestershire man, who had been in the industry for many years. Originally based at the Pine End work site in Lydney, Norman grew the company and built a local and loyal customer base. In 2002, the company moved to their current site at Unit 27, Lydney Industrial Estate. The company continued to grow with customers nationwide.
In 2010, the company was taken over by Allan Gibson, who was the company’s General Manager at the time. Allan, together with a talented and loyal group of staff, continued to grow the company, which thrived under Allan’s management and made it what it is today.
In February 2023, the company again changed ownership, Allan Gibson stepped down as the Managing Director due to retirement and sold the company to Green Earth Investments Ltd. Nick Shrager and Stephen Marshall became the new Co-Directors with the aim to grow the business both locally and nationally.
The staff team remains the same; indeed, many of the staff have remained with the company for many years. There has been just one change – Craig Tucker has now been promoted to the position of General Manager.
The company holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, as well as meeting and exceeding all the requirements of ISPM 15. We always strive to maintain the highest standard for all our customers.
Nick and Steve will continue with the same ethos and customer support that Allan has built up. They also intend to grow the company’s customer base even further, and with the knowledge and guidance of the new owners, Lydney Pallets and Cases is targeted to become a leading force in this industry.
